Meet the Characters - An Interview with Brooke Richmond from “Brooke Runs Away” by Carrie Padgett

Today we’re talking to Brooke Richmond, the protagonist of the upcoming “Brooke Runs Away,” a Harts Leap romance novella by Carrie Padgett.

Welcome, Brooke! Let’s get right to it. What did you eat for breakfast this morning? Did you make it yourself? Do you clean up after yourself or do you have a maid?
Oh, my word, you made me laugh! No, I don’t have a maid. Today, I ate a scrambled egg and avocado toast. I fixed it myself and I cleaned up after myself. I live in my family home, with my older brother and his wife and daughter. My sister-in-law, Anna, runs the house and I must clean up after myself. Calling Anna a clean freak is like saying Chris Pine is average looking.

Do you have a cat? How many? Do you clean the litter boxes every day? Or does your maid clean the litter boxes?
Still no maid, but now you’ve got me curious. How much does it cost to hire a maid, I wonder? Anyway, we have some barn cats on the family farm in Harts Leap, California. It’s a small tourist destination on a lake in the Sierra Nevada, outside Yosemite National Park. We have fruit trees at a slightly lower elevation. We grow apples, peaches, and plums. We’ve recently planted some grape vines, too. So, cats in the barn, no house cats and no litter boxes. See above and you can guess how Anna feels about cats and litter boxes in the house.

Do you go out for lunch or bring a sack lunch? Do you take an extra-long lunch hour without putting it on your timecard?
Goodness, you’re getting personal, aren’t you? Since I’m a teacher, I don’t have time to go out for lunch, and I definitely can’t stretch my lunch break. I bring a sack lunch and usually eat in the teacher’s room with my friend Lauren, or I eat at my desk while grading spelling tests.

How many siblings do you have? Are you close?
I’m the youngest of seven. I have five older brothers, one for every week day, and a sister. My sister left town when she was eighteen and I haven’t been in contact with her since then. I’m closest to my brother Nathan and my brother Jake. I live with Jake and his family in the home we grew up in. Nathan and I have similar personalities and we laugh at the same things, so I’m closer to him than to my other brothers, although I love them too.

Are your parents alive?
My parents have both passed away. My mom died eight years ago of breast cancer. She was diagnosed shortly after my sister, Rachael, left town. I was supposed to go to college on the east coast, but I couldn’t leave with Mom sick and Rachael gone. So I stayed and help care for Mom and went to the local college and got a teaching credential. My dad died very suddenly of a heart attack just a few weeks ago.

Do you like to cook? Do you use recipes? Do you eat out every night?
There are only a couple of places to eat out in Harts Leap. Daisy’s Café, the Brookside Inn dining room, and the Lodgepole Diner. Anna and I have an arrangement. I cook and do the dishes two nights a week. She cooks three nights a week and I clean up. The other two nights, we all find leftovers or go to the café. I enjoy cooking. I like finding random things in the refrigerator and trying to make a good meal. I’ve had some great successes and some epic fails. The problem with this process though, is that the successes are impossible to duplicate. I’ve served some amazing meals that I will never be able to taste again.

Are you married? Divorced? How many times have you been married?
I’m unmarried, and have never been married. This is starting to remind me of the survey—I mean application—I filled out before I was asked to be on the reality show Date My Son! I’ve moved recently to Southern California and I went out for coffee one Saturday morning. A man handed me a survey. Or what I thought was a survey. It had all kinds of random questions like these. I filled it out and returned it to the pollster. Turns out, the “pollster” was an assistant to the assistant producer and they were having a casting call at the coffee shop. But someone liked what I had to say and I was offered the chance to join the current season.

Do you brush and floss your teeth before you go to bed? Do you use an electric toothbrush and a water pick?
I floss and brush every night with an old-fashioned manual powered toothbrush.

What do you throw into the garbage? Do you recycle?
Well, since I was raised on a farm, we compost and recycle.

Tell us some more about that dating show.
I’m sure you’ve seen it. Date My Son! is different from the other dating shows because the bachelor’s mother gets a vote and has a pretty big part in choosing who stays and who leaves. It was something I never thought I’d do. I mean, how many women from small mountain towns are asked to date in public view? Talk about crazy and overwhelming. But it was also fun and I made some wonderful friends. I mean it was crazy enough, but then my brother Nathan came to visit and the producers decided to shake things up and Nathan ended up staying as a second bachelor. Talk about a twist!

Do you honk at the car in front of you if they didn’t see the light turn green?
I give them a good five seconds. If they’re still on their phone or looking at the scenery, I give a short beh-beep. Just to remind them, you know, “Hey pay attention, it’s time to go!”

Thank you, Brooke, for stopping by today. I look forward to reading about your dating show adventure!
Thanks for having me. I think I actually learned a few things about myself!

First Kiss Friday – An Excerpt from “Everything She Never Wanted” by Mary E Thompson

Today on First Kiss Friday, we welcome romance author, Mary E Thompson, and an excerpt from her Contemporary Small Town Romance novel, “Everything She Never Wanted.”

When tragedy strikes…

Henry Wilson has been a strong and steady force for his family for years. When death steals one of them, Henry’s ability to keep himself together is tested. Even surrounded by people, he’s never had anyone to lean on. Not since he made the biggest mistake of his life and told his best friend he was in love with her.

Right before she disappeared from his life for good.

And the chips are down…

Cynthia Hill is inching closer and closer to the life she always feared. Still single, and now jobless, she’s living back at home with her mom. It isn’t as bad as she thought it would be, which scares her more than the way she thinks about her former best friend.

All they have is each other…

Henry knows getting involved with Cynthia won’t lead to anything but pain. She’ll go back to her life, and he’ll be left to deal with one more heartbreak. One he isn’t sure he’ll survive.

First Kiss Excerpt

Cynthia moved closer and pulled him in for a hug. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said that.”
He pressed his nose into her hair and closed his eyes. Again, he felt something slip into place. Something that told him she was right where she was meant to be. That his life had been off without her in it.
She didn’t let go. She kept her arms around him, holding him tight, as he borrowed strength from her. Her hands drifted up and down his back, caressing him. Soothing him.
Turning him on.
He tucked his chin against her cheek. She sighed.
He breathed her in. Her heart pounded against his.
He needed her. He needed more from her. He couldn’t just hold her in his arms. He needed more.
He pulled back just enough to look into her eyes. Just enough to make sure she was willing. He saw green in the brown of her eyes. Excitement.
Henry couldn’t wait another minute. He knew it was selfish, but at that moment he didn’t care. He leaned down and pressed his lips to hers and took everything he wanted from her.
***
Henry was kissing her. Actually kissing her. Cynthia didn’t know what to do. If she should kiss him back like she ached to do, or if she should push him away like she knew was right to do.
His arms tightened around her, and his scent engulfed her. She was lost.
There wasn’t a choice once she breathed him in. She’d wondered for long enough what it would be like to kiss him, how it would feel, what he would taste like. With the answers to her questions at the tip of his tongue, literally, she wasn’t strong enough to deny either of them.
She could feel how much Henry needed her. How much he wanted her. She’d be lying if she said the feeling wasn’t mutual. It had been too long since she felt like someone wanted her, and not the reporter. With Henry, she was just Cynthia. And she liked that.
His tongue brushed her lips as she parted them to get a taste of him. Her tongue ran along his, muddying her brain and demanding that she give in to whatever he wanted. Whatever he needed. She hooked her thumbs in his belt loops and held on. Their tongues teased and tasted each other. The wine was different coming from him, better even, and she felt herself sinking deeper into Henry.
Henry that she loved.
Henry that she never thought she’d see again.
Henry that was her best friend.
Henry that she didn’t know anymore.
She felt like she was back in high school, or middle school, experiencing her first kiss. A boy she barely knew. A kiss that made her head spin. A desire that was new and fresh and exciting.
When he pulled back, almost suddenly, Cynthia wasn’t ready for their kiss to be over. She still held him, her arms around his waist and his around her shoulders. She felt safe and protected within his embrace. But his eyes burned into hers, reminding her that the boy she knew had grown into a man she didn’t know.
Henry didn’t say anything. Didn’t explain why he kissed her. Didn’t apologize for assaulting her mouth and stirring her senses and making her wish they could finish what they started. He just turned and checked on the food in the oven and sipped his wine.
She wanted to say something, but words failed her. As a journalist, she’d never been at a loss for words before. It was a new feeling, but she was quickly learning every feeling was new with Henry.
Cynthia leaned against the counter and drank her wine. It was good, sweet and crisp and delicious, but she didn’t like it after tasting it on Henry’s lips. He added something to it. A fullness and depth that the wine on its own was missing. She wanted to kiss him again, but she knew it was a bad idea.

Not that she’d ever been good at avoiding bad ideas.

First Kiss Friday – An Excerpt from “Embraceable You” by Kat Henry Doran

Today on First Kiss Friday, we welcome romance author, Kat Henry Doran, and an excerpt from her Contemporary Romantic Trilogy, “Embraceable You,” Book 2 of the Vengeance Is Mine series.

Ever think about going back to study hall to face down the school bully?

The mean girls?

The brainless jocks who made your life a pure misery?

For Dru Horvath, gypsy orphan turned Pulitzer Prize winning photo-journalist; Rafe Archangeli, Scourge of Summerville who now heads a multi-million dollar trust; and Fiona “Fat Aggie” Thorpe who recreated herself into an A-list model with her own A-list agency, the opportunity to exact revenge is too good to pass up.

Will they find the vengeance they crave?

Or something more valuable?

First Kiss Excerpt

In the wake of the Heades' departure, the reunion party took an upturn. While Dru was inundated with well wishers, Rory imagined the DHS agents were, in her words, passing stones the size of peach pits for fear one of the clamoring horde bore ulterior motives.
Edging to her side, he maintained the guise of affectionate date, offering a non-verbal explanation of  why he remained attached to her hip. Former classmates, some of whom were not reunion attendees but employees of the Inn, stopped by their table to wish her well. For someone who'd felt ostracized back in the day, Dru was now welcomed with open arms. In turn, Rory gave her credit for jumping into the conversations with joy and humor.
While the wait staff cleared the tables of debris from the meal, a jazz quintet consisting of a piano, sax, drums, trombone and bass set up in the corner and invited requests. Grace Dunavan was the first to step up to the plate with her faves in musical enjoyment.
Rory watched Dru while she wished Sister Gabriella Racz a teary good-bye, giving the promise to stay in touch. He could tell how much she would have liked to spend more time with the woman who raised her but time was the one thing none of them had.
As the wistful strains of “Someone To Watch Over Me” filled the room, Grace and Rafe Archangeli took to the dance floor. Rory watched the silent byplay between the two: light touches, secret smiles. Moving in sync like they'd been together for decades instead of a mere few months. Out of the blue, it struck him that this was how his grandparents had been with each other as they prepared meals together in the kitchen, or danced to Gershwin tunes in the living room.
This is the real deal, he recognized. Grace and Rafe right now--his grandparents way back when. Regret bit hard and fast. Damn. He wasn't ready for this.
DHS agents began to crowd in from all corners of the room. Rory held them off with a brisk shake of his head. Goddammit, he needed more time with Dru. Tugging on her hand, he eased her onto the dance floor. And Christ, didn't she feel perfect in his arms.
            “Hi.”
With a sigh, she laid her head on his shoulder. “Hi, yourself.”
“Did you have a good time tonight?”
“Didn't get to pop Dickhead or Ready Betty in the chops--but I found me a man who can dance, so that makes up for it.” She pulled back to smile up at him. “How about you?”
“I am about to say something that my daughter would describe as really lame: I wish tonight would never end.”
“I saw you watching me while Gaby spoke. You get me, and why I do what I do. No man has ever given me that gift. Thank you.”
When the tap came on his shoulder, it took all he had inside him not to scream. But he could not. Not tonight anyway. Without creating a stir, he said, “It's time to go.”
            “Will you walk me out?”
            “I'd be honored.”
Tucking her hand in the crook of his arm, they strolled to the nearest exit door. Anyone looking on might think they were sneaking off to be alone.
Outside, a limo waited, engine revving with a soft purr. Agent Jones opened the door for Dru. “We retrieved your things from the room, ma'am. Please, get in the vehicle. It's not safe--”
“One moment,” Dru snarled and turned into Rory's arms. “I don't have to testify. I can tell them no. I can--”
The thought of her doing something so against her nature for him, nearly brought him to his knees. “Go, but be careful, my Droozheela. There's some nasty folks out there with hate in their hearts.”
She nodded, then went up on her toes to brush her lips over his. “Same to you, Sheriff.”
It was the briefest of touches. But it was enough. Rory would carry the taste of her with him for a long time.

Meet the Characters - An Interview with Stuart Granger from “A Ghost to Die For” by Keta Diablo

Today we’re talking to Stuart Granger, from “A Ghost to Die For,” a Paranormal Romance novel by Keta Diablo. It’s one of the books included in the All in for Love Anthology.

When you look in the mirror, what do you see?
Now this is a great question for me. Before when I looked in the mirror, I saw a young, tall, slightly slender man with nice features. Not to brag, but I think most people would consider me good-looking if not handsome. Correction: Most people would have considered me.... But since I died (more about that later) I see the same man, only he has a definite translucent element to his reflection now.

What is people’s first impression of you?
Boy, I wish I could get their reaction, anyone's reaction, these days. Until I met Rooney Fontaine at the La Bonne Chance Resort & Casino where I died, no one has been able to see me. I have no idea why Rooney can see and hear me, but I need her help and who am I to look a gift horse in the mouth? It took me a while to convince her that I really, truly am a dead spirit (even though she doesn't believe in ghosts) and that I desperately need her help.

What is your best memory to date?
My childhood and being an older brother to Stephan. We're ten years apart but I can't tell you what a joy it was to watch him grow up, be there for him through all his cuts and bruises, and then again, as he went through the usual angsty teen years. I really missed Stephan when he went off to Afghanistan ten years ago. Didn't realize how much I missed him until I was murdered and knew the same men who tossed me off the balcony at the casino would be going after him.

What are you most afraid of?
Now that Stephan's returned from his long stint in the army, that there's no one left to warn him, tell him I didn't commit suicide like all the local newspapers said. I'm really worried Stephan will have no way of knowing those evil-doers will do the same to him. That's why I'm so happy and relieved that Rooney does see and hear me - imagine that, a ghost - and she's agreed to warn Stephan before it's too late. Did I mention Rooney has a heart as big as Texas?

What would you like it to say on your tombstone?
That not everyone agreed with my lifestyle (I'm a gay man) but I did my best to be kind to everyone that crossed my path in life. In short: He did it his way and hoped to bring a little sunshine to everyone he met.

What's your favorite food?
Well, it was pizza. Boy, do I miss that pepperoni, mushrooms and black olive pizza from Mama Genovese's Table, a local Italian restaurant here in Buffalo, New York.

What was your first impression of your brother's love interest?
That would be Rooney now. Something told me once those two met, sparks would fly. Forget the sparks...can we just say fireworks exploded like it was the 4th of July? Don't say I didn't warn you, Rooney.

If you could go back in time, what one thing would you change in your life?
Staying in touch with Stephan more often while he did his tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. Siblings drift apart as they get on with their lives, I get that, but now that our parents are gone, and, well technically, I'm gone too, I wish I could retrieve the last ten years, let Stephen know how much I loved him, have always loved him.

Do you see morality as black-and-white, or with shades of gray?
Are you kidding? Pretty hard to be a gay person and look at life in black and white. Nothing is ever black and white. Everyone needs to have a little gray in their lives, be more tolerant of others.

If someone from your past showed up, who would you most NOT want it to be, and why?
Oh, that's easy. The two masked men who were waiting for me in my hotel room that night they threw me off the balcony. I wish I would have the foresight to realize that once I filed a lawsuit against a big corporation, they'd do anything to stop that lawsuit from going forward...even commit murder.

If you could make any one thing happen, what would it be?
I wish Stephan could see me and hear me like Rooney does. I wish we could have one more conversation before I move on to Summerland. Translation: Summerland - the place where spirits and ghosts go after they die and once they find peace. In my case, I can't move on to Summerland until I know Stephan will be all right.

If this is one place in the world you could go, where would it be?
Right now? See above...Summerland.

What inner doubt causes you the most difficulty?
Well, of course, I blame myself for this big fat mess we're all in. If I hadn't filed a lawsuit against the fracking company that poisoned the water at the old homestead, I wouldn't be dead now and Stephan wouldn't come from the war in the Middle East to fight another one at home.

What would make you completely happy?
Now that I've seen Rooney and Stephan together (as they run from assassins and professional hit men) that they find happiness together, and safety, of course.

RELEASE BLITZ
Title: Fate
Series: Trinity #5

Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: August 22, 2017

BLURB

Not many can say they were burned by fate. I’m the exception.

Scalded figuratively, emotionally, and physically… I have the scars running down my arm, ribs, and side to prove it.

The doctors have done what they can to heal me by smoothing the abraded skin using other parts of my body. But they can only do so much. Sometimes, what can’t be seen can’t be healed.

The fire that night took more than a pound of flesh. It obliterated my talent, beauty, and most importantly, seared the connection I had with the man I loved. Sure, it was me who pushed him away, but I had my reasons. I did what any woman would do in my situation. I gave up everything so that one day he’d find happiness and peace.

Now I’ve healed a bit on the outside, and on the inside, but I still crave the one I let go. To this day he looks at me with fire in his eyes, a heat so bright in his being he glows with it. I fear the light, the flames that could consume me whole. The problem now is, he’s not mine anymore. I just may have waited too long to fight for him, for us, for a future together.

There’s only one thing I can do. Let fate decide.

**This is book 3 in the Scandalous Miss Brightwell series, though it can be read as a stand-alone.
~*~*~*~*~*~

Excerpt:

Chapter One

“And there’s nothing else you’d like, my dear? No?” Straightening after receiving a polite rebuff, George Bramley found it an effort to keep the syrup in his tone. His bride-to-be had not even looked at him as she’d declined the piece of marchpane he’d been certain would win him at least a smile.

Hovering at her side, he weighed up the advantages of a gentle rebuke, then decided against it. Until yesterday, he’d thought her quiet demeanour suggested a charmingly pliant nature. Now he was not so sure. In fact, suddenly, he was not sure of anything.

“A glass of lemonade, perhaps, my angel? Or a gentle stroll?”

“I would prefer to be left alone.” Miss Montrose waved a languid hand in his general direction, while she continued to gaze at the still lake beside which their picnic party had situated itself.

The languid arm-wave had not even been accompanied by a demure thank you as subtle acknowledgement of her gratitude that not only had Mr Bramley, heir to a viscountcy, stepped in to rescue Miss Eliza Montrose from impoverishment, he was prepared to treat her publicly as if she were as fine a catch as he could have made.

A soft titter brought his head round sharply, but the ladies behind him, bent over the latest Ackerman’s Repository, appeared occupied with their own gossip as they lounged on cushions beneath the canopy that had been erected to protect them from the sun.

Awkwardly, he looked for occupation as he continued to eye his intended with a mixture of irritation and desire—both lustful desire, and the desire to put her in her place.

The idea of the latter made him harden. She was beautiful, this quiet, apparently retiring, young woman who said so little, but whose eyes spoke such volumes. The afternoon sun glinted on her honey-gold hair and imbued her porcelain skin with a warm glow. The skin that he could see, at any rate.

He pushed back his shoulders. On their wedding night in six weeks, when he’d at last take possession of her, he’d rip that modesty to shreds. The skin she was so at pains to hide would be his, not only to see, but to caress and taste. When she was his wife, the beautiful, distant Miss Eliza Montrose would no longer get away with paying George Bramley so little attention. No, he’d have her screaming and writhing at his command. He would make her like the things he did to her; or at least, show him she did if she enjoyed harmony as much as she appeared to. None of this languid reclining like a half-drugged princess in his presence. He’d keep her on her toes, ready to leap to his bidding at the sound of his footstep. She’d learn to be grateful.

Feeling ignored and superfluous, he turned to his uncle’s detestable wife, Lady Quamby, and said with a smile, “Perhaps you and Miss Montrose would like to accompany me to the turret. Since you appear to have enjoyed this new novel, Northanger Abbey, so much, you might be interested to know there is an excellent view of the ruined monastery not far from here.”

He was just priding himself on being so attuned to the feminine inclination for pleasure, when Lady Quamby half turned and sent him a desultory smile. “Oh, I think Miss Eliza looks perfectly comfortable, and Fanny and I are having such a lovely little coze.” As if imitating Miss Montrose, she waved a languid hand in his general direction. “Why don’t you take Mr Patmore off to see it? The two of you can tell us all about it when you return.”

The fact that Miss Montrose didn’t deign to even speak for herself, much less glance in his direction, sent the blood surging to Bramley’s brain. By God, when he was married to Eliza Montrose, the limpid look of love so lacking now would be pasted onto her face every time he crossed her line of vision. She’d soon learn what was good for her.

He inclined his head, hiding his fury, and was on the point of leaving when Lady Quamby’s sister, Fanny —for he’d be damned if he’d accord the little strumpet the title of Lady Fenton—leapt up from her chair. She’d been poring over the latest fashions, but now she smiled brightly up at him.

“I’ll come with you, Cousin George. We’ll have an excellent view of the  children learning to row from the battlements. I told Nanny Brown she could take them in the two boats if they’d been good.”

Bramley stared down her liveliness. In fact, he was about to give up the idea of going up to the battlements altogether when his other guest, Rufus Patmore, suddenly rose and joined Fanny’s side with a late and unexpected show of enthusiasm.

“Capital idea!” declared Rufus.

George flashed them both a dispassionate look. He'd chosen to invite his betrothed, Miss Montrose—whose chaperone was currently tucked up in the green bed chamber nursing a head cold—to be his guest at his uncle’s estate, Quamby House, after receiving intelligence that Ladies Quamby and Fenton would be safely in London with their husbands and children. Instead, the brazen Brightwell sisters—as they’d infamously been called when he’d first made their acquaintance—had altered their plans, and were now in dogged attendance, reminding him as they always had, of some awful tenacious climbing plant, determined to find a foothold wherever they could in order to rise in the world.

Rufus, a last-minute addition and acquaintance from his club, Boodles, was here because he’d just purchased a horse from Bramley the night before. Now, Rufus was gazing at Lady Fenton, with the same dewy-eyed fondness George was used to seeing reflected in the eye of his uncle, the Earl of Quamby, who called the Brightwell sisters his precious rose-buds. To George, they were common dandelions! And now they had overridden Quamby House, the rambling Queen Anne manor house and estate that would have passed to George the moment his uncle quit this mortal coil, were it not for the snotty-nosed infant Lady Quamby had borne far too early in her marriage to George's uncle.

George shook his head. He’d changed his mind. Only, there was Rufus striding across the lawn, skirting the lake with Fanny at his side, and George didn’t want to be seen as petulant for having offered the suggestion in the first place. Or have his snubbed and ignored status so much on parade, since the two remaining ladies—Miss Montrose and Lady Quamby—had their heads bent together in deep discussion, with no apparent interest in seeking his company.

By God, he thought, clenching his fists as he set off after them at a brisk trot, they'd all rue the day they showed George Bramley so little respect.

Author Info:

Beverley Oakley was seventeen when she bundled up her first her 500+ page romance and sent it to a publisher. Unfortunately drowning her heroine on the last page was apparently not in line with the expectations of romance readers so Beverley became a journalist.

Twenty-six years later Beverley was delighted to receive her first publishing contract from Robert Hale (UK) for a romance in which she ensured her heroine was saved from drowning in the icy North Sea.

Since 2009 Beverley has written more than thirteen historical romances, mostly set in England during the early nineteenth century. Mystery, intrigue and adventure spill from their pages and if she can pull off a thrilling race to save someone’s honour – or a worthy damsel from the noose – it’s time to celebrate with a good single malt Scotch.

Beverley lives with her husband, two daughters and a Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy the size of a pony opposite a picturesque nineteenth century lunatic asylum. She also writes Africa-set adventure-filled romances tarring handsome bush pilot heroes, and historical romances with less steam and more sexual tension, as Beverley Eikli.

First Kiss Friday – An Excerpt from “Bella and the Beast” by Izzy Szyn

Today on First Kiss Friday, we welcome romance author, Izzy Szyn, and an excerpt from the Scandalous Fairy Tale Erotic Romance novel, “Bella and the Beast.”

You only thought you knew the story of Beauty and the Beast.

When Bella's father runs into the woman known as the Beast, she agrees to take his place as a prisoner for the next six months. Plenty of time to get out of her pending marriage to the son of the village's wealthiest family.

When Bella is sent a list of demands and rules, one rule stood out: DON'T FALL IN LOVE.

That seemed simple enough, for who could fall in love with a Beast?

First Kiss Excerpt (Edited for Heat Level)

Ms. Anna turned her face up and started to kiss her, her knees holding Bella’s arms in place. “No touching unless I say,” Ms. Anna told her, kissing Bella once more, grinding harder against her.

Bella started to feel something trickle down her lower lips, unsure whether it was from Ms. Anna or herself. Ms. Anna kept kissing her, her tongue pushing down Bella’s throat. Kissing Ms. Anna in return, gliding her tongue across Ms. Anna’s. Was her tongue getting longer? Holy hell, Bella whimpered as the tongue slid down her throat. Bella struggled against the unfamiliar sensation.
